Loads of Crystal Palace fans on Twitter have reacted to a bizarre report from The Sun, via The Daily Star, that says Liverpool turned down the chance to sign Eagles left-back Patrick van Aanholt.
The Sun, via The Daily Star, reported that Reds manager Jurgen Klopp has been considering bringing in a new left-back to cover Andrew Robertson, and that the Dutchman had emerged as a possible option.
However, the report adds that the German boss decided against a move for the 28-year-old, who likely would have found first-team minutes hard to come by at Anfield seeing as Robertson made 48 appearances in all competitions during the 2018/19 campaign.
Instead it looks as though he will remain at Selhurst Park, where he has certainly been something of a divisive figure among Eagles supporters previously because of his performances on the pitch.
While he can clearly be a big threat from an attacking point of view given he has 11 goals in 82 appearances for Roy Hodgson’s men, it is his defending that sometimes leaves a lot to be desired.

Palace fans took to Twitter to have their say on the exit rumour, and while one labelled it as “complete nonsense”, another simply said “good grief”.
