Fulham have confirmed that they have given permission to Bryan Ruiz to speak with a number of clubs over a move away from West London this winter, as reported by Sky Sports.
Spanish side Real Betis are in talks with the Costa Rican international who is set to line up against England in the World Cup group stage next summer.
Aston Villa and Valencia are both also keen on taking the winger on loan until the end of the season but they will have to act swiftly with Betis already preparing for life with Ruiz.
Betis have agreed a loan fee and a deal with Fulham so they just need to convince Ruiz that Spain is the place for him and assistant manager Sergio Fernandez believes the 28 year old could became a star for the club.
“Bryan Ruiz is a fantastic player, links up well with team-mates, has a good shot and brings lots of creativity,” Fernandez told Diario de Sevilla.
“We are confident that his game and his qualities are perfect for our team and that he can put Betis on the right place in the ranking. I think he can settle in quickly.”
